Pastor Sephen A. Beutler |
Born in Mishawaka, Indana, Pastor Steve, as he likes to be known, is a graduate of Bethel College where he majored in Biblical Literature with an emphasis in Greek and Communication. Following his graduation in 1974, Pastor Steve attended the Institute for Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem. With an emphasis on Biblical Archeology, Old Testament Historical Geography of Palestine, and a history of the Jewish people, Steve earned credits toward his Mastor's degree during his year of overseas study. After his time at the Instutite, he was accepted at L'Abri in Hemouz, Switerland where he studied philosophy and religion under Dr. Frances Schaeffer, Oz Guinness, and other noted scholars. Steve completed his Master of Divinity at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY in 1978. Ordained in 1983 as an elder in the United Methodist Church, Pastor Steve has served the North Indiana Conference ever since. Steve was appointed to Grace UMC in 2003. Steve is married to wife Jayna and they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Steve and Jayna traveled to Italy, Switzerland, Germany and finally Oxford University on Lilly Study and Renewal Leave in the Summer of 2007. Chris Roberts |
Pastor Chris and his wife, Renee, were both born and raised in Cincinnati and are graduates of the University of Cincinnati. Pastor Chris has a bachelor's degree in Communications and a Master of Divinity degree from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy Chaplain Candidate Program. Renee is pursuing Masters in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy at Indiana Wesleyan. They have 2 daughters, Bethany Fayth, Kennedy Mahli, a son, Wesley Andrew, and are expecting another child. Pastor Chris was ordained an Elder at this Spring's annual conference. Larry Newberg |
Pastor Larry Newberg grew up in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, and has served United Methodist churches near Kokomo for many years. He also has worked at Delphi Electronics, where he worked as a personnel supervisor, and as a quality control manager. He is married to Marleta Newberg. They have three daughters and six grandchilren, and spend their winters in Florida. He has served as Grace's Associate part time since 1997. His ministry invlolves visitation of our shut-in and elderly parishoners. During Pastor Steve's 2007 Summer renewal leave, we were blessed by Pastor Larry giving more of his time in the office, and in preaching. Email: larmar22@juno.com |

Randy Manning |
Randy has had an interest in music since a young age. His grandmother was a music teacher and had an strong influence on his life. He has sung in numerous weddings, public school and college programs. He has also sung in two gospel groups and a barber shop quartet. Randy has a Bachelors Degree in Communications from the University of Evansville and a Bachelors Degree in Music from the University of Indianapolis. His career as a Director of Music began at St. John United Church of Christ in Indianapolis. He is currently responsible for the planning and direction of nine music ensembles at Grace Church. Randy enjoys spending time with his family in Indianapolis and South Eastern Indiana. He also enjoys gardening, cooking and music. He likes a wide variety of music, but especially enjoys contemporary gospel music and contemporary sacred choral music. Email: randymanning@kokomograce.org |
Barbara Hobbs |
Barbara Hobbs is a native of Kokomo and has been a member of Grace since 1976. She graduated from Ball State University with BS and MM in piano performance and from Butler University with a MM in music education. She has maintained a private piano studio for over 30 years and taught at Taylor University since 1993. She accepted the position of pianist/organist at Grace in 2005 and has enjoyed the challenge of learning to play our Austin pipe organ! Barbara and husband Melvin married in 2002. TJ Knowland |
TJ is a student at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN studying Youth Ministry. He has 2 sisters and is the youngest of the children. He is a graduate of Lewis Cass High School in 2005 where he was active in band, baseball, basketball, and golf. Email: tj.knowland@kokomograce.org |
Jacqueline Hunt |
Jacque Hunt has B.S and M.M.E. degrees in Instrumental Music Education from Peabody College (now Vanderbilt University) She taught band and orchestra at West Fulton HS and North Springs HS in Atlanta, GA, and is retired from the Northwestern School Corporation where she taught band, middle school general music and was Director of Fine Arts. She is a Past President and currently Currator of Historical Information for Women Band Directors International. She leads two instrumental groups who add spirit to our worship serivices: The Chamber Ensemble, and the new "GUMBY" group, Grace United Methodist Band - Youth. Email: jacquekok@insightbb.com |
Cindy Lovegrove |
Cindy Lovegrove is our Office Manager, she is the nerve-center of our church office and is in charge of the office calendar and computer information. She produces print documents, such as the Sunday bulletin and the monthly Grace Notes. She is a native of Kokomo and in the past has worked for the American Red Cross and Indalex Inc.. Chuck Hefley |
Chuck Hefley is a native of Muncie. Chuck has served in the Seabees, has worked as a school administrator both for the Marion, IN public schools and Indiana Vocational and Technical College, (IVY Tech), Kokomo, An active United Methodist Layman, he has served as our Annual Conference Lay Leader, a lay delegate to General Conference and currently serves on the board of the United Methodist Foundation. In 2006, Chuck visited Sierra Leone in Africa, and currently serves as the Kokomo District Chair of Operation Classroom. Chuck is married to Nancy and recently celebrated their golden anniversary.
