Children's Ministry at Grace

Christ-centered ministries for children are important at Grace United Methodist Church! While we welcome children at all of our worship services, there are age-appropriate opporunities available for all children.

Child and Family Newsletter

Nursery Childcare is offered by our nursery staff for infants through age 1 from 9:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Sunday Mornings. The worship service is able to be heard in the nursery as parents are welcome to care for their children and mothers are welcome to nurse their infants in our comfortable facilities as needed.

Little Lambs Room is for Toddlers through age 4. Our nursery staff provides childcare, simple Christian stories and songs are offered for this age group from 9:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Sunday mornings.

Childcare is available for children during most church functions as needed.

Children’s Church is available during Sunday morning worship for kids from preschool through 2nd Grade. Partway through the service the children will be dismissed to go to the chapel where they will experience a worship service of their very own based on the same lessons that the adults are learning in the sanctuary--but at their own level. On the first Sunday of the month the children will be returned to their parents before communion is served.

Children’s Sunday School is offered each Sunday from 10:45 a.m.-11:45 a.m. on the lower level of the church. Sunday School classrooms are broken down: 3-4 years – pre–K are in our “Hive of Bee-lievers” , 5year old – 2nd grade are in our “Pond” room becoming Fishers of People, and our 3rd – 5th graders are in our “Nest” room getting ready to fly into youth programming.

Vacation Bible School is offered every summer for children of our church and community. Click here for 2011 VBS information and registration form.

Graceful Arts is for children 5 years – through 5th grade and runs from September through May. The children get to play games, make crafts and have snacks while leanring important lessons about how to live a life for Christ. The Children's Choir also rehearses during this time. The time for Graceful Arts coincides with activities and Bible Studies that are available for parents, youth, and other adults.

Acolyte training helps children beginning with the 3rd grade, to perform this service during worship.

Children's Special Activities include movie nights, camp opportunities,
Trunk-or-Treat, special parties, service opportunities, music performances and much more throughout the year!
