Recent Mission News at Grace
June 2007

Oscar Ramos is leaving the North IN Conference and will be locating in New Orleans. In August, the Mission Committee will be discussing a new missionary to support.

We have been very blessed with Handley Estate funds to distribute to those in need. Each of the following items were brought to the attention of our committee and then approved by Ad. Council on June 4, 2007.

1. Henderson Settlement in September - $3000 for material to do roofing, building a greenhouse and painting projects.
2. New refrigerator for Domestic Violence Center - $2000
3. KUO (Jeff Newton) Crisis Center Childcare housed here at Grace - $5000 to salary support. He also requested money to help buy a new laptop, projector and battery pack for $2500, which we already sent since it was such an immediate need.
4. Pastor Chris help to pay seminary loans - $5000
5. Challenge Day at KHS (October 1 and 2) - $3500 to help run a motivational program to help students manage life better.
6. Nesting Doves help with current financial situation - $5000
7. Samaritan Caregivers needing new heating and air conditioning unit - $2500
8. Stipend for Melissa Zimmerman for summer internship with KUO - $1000
9. Bo School in Africa - $1000 for student scholarships

Pastor Steve requested that we leave some money to help support any interest in Mission trips abroad. He would like 1-2 person to go on a Mission trip in early 2008. Please consider going on a trip.

Other announcements

1. Current collection of items for Kokomo Urban Outreach, Nesting Doves, Open Arms and CAM items are listed in the bulletin, Grace Notes and on the shopping cart. Please help when possible.
2. Books needed for children at Kokomo Urban Outreach. Put them in the shopping cart, so they can be distributed this summer.
3. Recent gifts from Grace members:
   $145 - Packages sent to 4 service men
   $125 - Diapers to Nesting Doves
   $140 - Peanut Butter and clothes to KUO
   $375 - Angel Walk benefiting Domestic Violence Center
   $100 - CAM gifts in kind
   100 chairs and tables given to Operation Classroom
