Upcoming Mission Events at Grace

Fifth Sunday Collection is April 30

You may bring your items on any Sunday before April 30. Please put your donation in the Fellowship Hall box. We are Christ's hands and feet to our community, so give generously.  Since this collection will go to Nesting Doves , light bulbs, paper products, and cleaning supplies will be most appreciated.

Walk A Mile In My Shoes

"Walk a Mile in My Shoes" was on February 11 and Grace Church members donated a little over $600 to Open Arms. We had a small group of walkers (Lee Ann Hughes, Linda White, Susan Garner, Jan and Greg Wall and Lynne Buckalew from Main Street Methodist,) but we were mighty in spirit. We had fun walking in the snow and learning about Open Arms and their ministry to women who need residence and care. We also learned about some ways our community helps these women, and came away with some specific ideas of how Grace Church could help out.

Equal Exchange Coffee in Fellowship Hall

Wow, a new reason to drink coffee! Grace Church is now ordering the Fellowship Time coffee from "Equal Exchange" which is an UMCOR project. Every pound of coffee purchased by United Methodist congregations through this project, "Equal Exchange" makes a contribution to UMCOR programs that support community based cooperatives in coffee growing regions. This money supports farming communities to invest in education, health care and agricultural improvements in Latin America, Africa and Asian countries.

Come to the Fellowship Hall after church and give the "Equal Exchange" Coffee a try!

Your Wildest Dreams Can Come True!

This exciting opportunity may be the answer to one of your wildest dreams and prayers. It is with great pleasure that the Mission Ministry Team opens up the opportunity for a Grace member to travel to Africa. Thanks to the Handley Estate funds, we have $3000 to assist a Grace member with their travel costs and expenses. We are offering a chance to take a mission trip to the Kissy Clinic and Operation Classroom in Sierra Leona where our very own missionary, Dr. Dennis Marke works. If you are interested, please see Susan Garner or call 453-1819. Your wildest dream, may be in reach!
